I had no expectations from this movie and the same happened, I was disappointed after watching this movie. When I gave my 99 minutes to this movie, after that I was disappointed that why did I waste my time on this movie. Let’s talk about this movie further.

Emma Leiden’s manager did not know that Sky Braden and her team are actually fraudsters. Sky Brown and her team cheat their customers by giving half-baked real readings. Sky Brown and her team had planned to increase the price of the film reading from $20,000 to $1,00,000 when Emma Leiden agreed to the film reading. Emma Leiden also agreed to this.

Sky Brown and her team wanted that this con they were doing with Emma Leiden would be their last con. After this con, Sky Brown and her team wanted to go their separate ways.
Sky Brown gives Emma Leiden general superficial information while doing a reading for her book which even a stranger can give.
When Sky Brown is giving the reading, Emma leaves and Sky feels something different. Emma goes away from the reading for a few moments. Sky told her team that we should start giving the reading in such a way that it looks real even if things are not right.
After some time Emma returns and they complete the reading. During the reading they find out that there was no home invasion and that Emma killed her family. Emma runs around like an NFL Carterback killing the people in her house until Sky Brown shoots Emma in the face.
In the end Sky is interviewed by people based on their experiences. Sky was interviewing people about Emma Leiden’s book. In the end when Sky Brown looks into the camera she feels that the evil spirit that was in Emma has now come inside Sky.
After watching this movie I felt that nothing new has been given in this movie. After watching this movie I did not get scared and did not cry. I didn’t even laugh after watching this movie. All these things can make a bad movie. I found a lot of things in this movie that should have been fixed before bringing it on stage, so that it could be worthwhile.
The pace of the reading was painful. The main part of this movie is Monique running around killing everyone, which was very boring. The chase part in this movie could have been shortened.
Another thing is what happened to the supernatural elements shown in the reading trailer. For example, when they hear the sound of someone’s footsteps on the upper floor while doing the reading in the movie, no follow-up action was done on it.
Then there is a moment in the movie when a spirit enters the body of Emma Leiden (Monica) and when she dies the spirit enters the body of Sky Brown. And then at the end when it is seen on camera during an interview.
What do you think about this movie?
What I didn’t understand in this movie is that Emma says in the movie that she killed her family because she wanted to be rich. This did not make me think that she was possessed but I thought that Emma did this crime on purpose.
Conclusion
My final thought on The Reading is that this movie needed to be remade. It was nothing. However many people liked this movie.

I also subscribed to Bet Plus to watch this movie but now I will cancel it because I don’t want to watch this movie again. I found this movie quite boring. Monica has been cast in a lead role in this Bet Plus platform. Monica plays the role of a widowed writer who lost her entire family during a home invasion. Emma made the reading movie to promote her book The Invasion. So that people would be attracted to read her book after watching this movie. But Emma made a lot of mistakes in making this movie. Emma should have kept this movie in draft until she knew what kind of movie it was. Emma should have presented this movie to the audience by connecting all the elements of this movie in a coherent manner. But Emma failed to do so.
